We as women seem to think we have to be perfect wives, mothers and employees and for generations were raised to be the primary caretaker of the family, staying home and taking care of the children and the home, while the husband earned the money to care for the family monetarily. Unfortunately, it was also customary for husbands not to help around the house, leaving mothers to do it all.

Times are shifting, more and more women are getting traditional jobs to help with the family finances. Life has become more of a balancing act. Learning to balance housework, kids and their activities with working can be a juggling act. But it’s so worth it and I wouldn’t give up any part of my life! Women are strong and capable of multi-tasking impressively. If anyone can blog, work, raise children, cook and keep up a home, we can! Here are blog organization tips and ideas, not just for beginners.

I love being a blogger but it is not an easy job on its own; add in taking care of a family, a home and maybe you even have a traditional job. If you’re like me, there aren’t enough hours in the day to have the cleanest home, homemade meals three times a day on the table, working and writing blog posts consistently. Not to mention where would I get the energy from?! So I settle for doing the best of my ability, meal planning helps make it easier, so does cleaning my home in 15 minutes a day. I’ll take all the help I can get but I also have to remember I’m only one person. It can be difficult but I don’t have to be perfect, neither does my home. As long as I do my best and my family is happy, then I’m happy.

With these changing times the household needs to evolve as well. Not all of us want the traditional job; some of us want to be work at home moms. If you want to be a blogger then I have two fantastic women to introduce you to. Their ideas, their help, their ebooks and courses can be your saving grace. They will save you time and frustration. You don’t have to be a new blogger without a clue. We bloggers are here to help each other, a community of friends and friends to be.

There are many routes bloggers can take. There is tons of advice out there. Some free, some not. When I first became a blogger I read everything I could find. Pinterest and Facebook have tons of advice and it can make it somewhat confusing because you are getting so much information. It can be overwhelming; and…knowing what steps to take first and what order to do things in. It’s definitely not easy!

I decided to ask Jennifer Snyder from and Suzi Whitford from for ideas on how to get better organized.

The question I asked them was, “How do you keep organized day-to-day with such a successful blog and little ones?” And here are their answers.

Jen says: “I keep my life and blog organized and running as smooth as I can by doing three things.

First I accidentally tripped into Bullet Journaling. I love that I can track everything and keep my ongoing to-do list, both personal and professional in one place. I love the feeling of being able to cross off my to-do list items!

Second, I get up super early in the morning to work while the house is quiet and my mind is most alert. I used to get up at 5:30 but now get up at 4:15am. I take the first hour for me to spend time with God, do my devotional, pray, and journal. Then I have 2.5 solid hours to work before the kids are up (and loud!).

Third, I give myself grace. There are days I can’t get up early because a kid was up all night or because I’m just plain tired. I have to remind myself that no one is perfect and I need to give myself grace.”

Jen helps guide women on their blogging journeys. Her Find Your Tribe Online course will help you grow your blog. You will have a full-blown plan that won’t let you fail! She gives you support by returning emails quickly and I love being part of her wonderfully helpful Women Winning Online Facebook group.

Suzi says: ”I keep my life organized by embracing a few key principles. I’ve been able to grow my blog from $0 to over $20,000 per month and I mostly attribute this to:

1 – Waking up early to work on my blog daily

2 – Focusing on the 20% that drive 80% of the results

3 – Taking care of both my physical and emotional health

I’ve found the things that drain me the most aren’t the thousands of little blogging tasks I need to do; but it’s emotional stress from my life. If I’m not positive, I’m not productive. So I focus on getting my mindset right before I sit in front of the computer to blog. I’m also very blessed that my little ones sleep in until 8 am, so most mornings I have about 2 solid hours to work on the blog before the day starts and I switch to mommy mode!”

Suzi has multiple ebooks and courses to help explain blogging shortcuts and help you become the best blogger you can be. These courses are great and very detailed. She literally holds your hand and walks you through every step. I always received an email back quickly when I asked questions. She has everything in her course and it’s perfect for those of us who are not tech savvy, I found her Blog By Number course extremely helpful. When you are first learning how to start blog you can become overwhelmed quickly; that is why I highly recommend going through her step by step course to save you hours of anxiety and running in circles.
