I love when I can make anything in life easier. And who wouldn’t appreciate easy, delicious 10 minute dinners?! My dinner hack today is Schwan’s home delivery. They make cooking easier and therefore my life. Only occasionally do I buy their pre-made meals. But I definitely appreciate the pre-cut food to make food prepping our dinners smarter and easier on me. The other night I made dinner in 10 minutes, a good dinner in 10 minutes…WIN!

I have many quick and easy recipes using their ingredients but these my husband begged me not to forget this one. Since I usually just throw stuff together. If he likes it, I try to write it down. This is because about 2 years ago I made something he still asks for but neither of us can remember how I made it. Yikes!

These have such a great flavor. I’ve been very lucky, these are recipes I just threw together with ingredients I already had in the house and my family loves them.

Broccoli Chicken pasta:

1 16 oz. bow-tie pasta, boiled and drained

2 oz. bacon bits (I use Hormel real bacon pieces)

8 oz. of their diced chicken (Schwan’s #514)

Whole bag of their micro steam baby broccoli florets (Schwan’s #870)

1 jar white sauce

Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over top

Boil the pasta of your choice according to the directions and while the pasta is boiling, microwave broccoli 4 ½ minutes and chicken for 4 minutes, stirring intermittently. After draining pasta mix in bacon pieces, broccoli, chicken and white sauce. Mix thoroughly, then serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top. Voila!

Chicken and broccoli:

Here’s another quick and easily microwaveable meal to save time.

12 oz. of their diced chicken (Schwan’s #514)

Whole bag of their micro steam baby broccoli florets (Schwan’s #870)Easy delicious 10 minute dinners - thewifeslife.com

Whole package of beef and broccoli stir fry seasoning (I use Sunbird brand)

For this recipe on the stove top-Mix stir fry seasoning according to direction; which is mixing package with 2 tablespoons soy sauce (I use low sodium) and 3/4 C of water, set aside.

Cook broccoli and chicken in pan until warm; about 5 minutes, then add sauce and cook until sauce thickens; about 1 minute. Serve over rice if you wish.

Or if you wish to cook in the microwave: cook microwaveable bag of broccoli for 4 minutes. Mix together sauce packet and chicken in a bowl. Cook for about 5 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is done. Then mix broccoli into bowl and serve over rice.

  1. It’s kind of boring, but one of our quick, go-to dinners is just chicken and rice. We cook rice every few days and portion it out in containers in the fridge, then it’s easy to heat up in a hurry!

  2. I love easy dinners! I have a few quick recipes that I always have the ingredients on hand for, just in case I have a rough day at work and can’t bear to cook much when I get home! Pasta is an easy way to throw something together and make it taste delicious 🙂

  3. I used to always use Schwans Home Delivery. I need to look into that again! This recipe looks wonderful! I am always looking for quick weeknight recipes.

    1. Yes Heather I think they are wonderful. I love that it’s pre-cut for you, but of course you could always do it yourself with products from the grocery store. I just need/like having things as easy as possible. 🙂
